We would like to introduce you to the 2021 Digital Twin Challenge cohort. In this feature we share with you who Thinkproject is and what they do.

Thinkproject is a global-leading specialist software technology group headquartered in Munich, Germany, with over 500 employees globally, in excess of 2,500 customers, and more than 250,000 users in over 60 countries.

Their construction intelligence software simplifies complex workflows for the Design, Build and Operate phases of the asset lifecycle, helping clients make informed, data-driven decisions. They deliver fully integrated digital solutions through applied industry expertise for the infrastructure, building and industrial sectors, catering to asset owners, contractors, project developers and service providers.

Digital innovation is at the forefront of the company's design, project delivery and asset operation solutions. Thinkproject is also a purpose-driven company with sustainability as an integral part of the company strategy.

The company is clear on it's position with respect to smart cities and infrastructure - 'Technology with purpose'.

It is our mission to unlock the potential of people and information through digital technologies to help construct a better world.

Thinkproject Australasia has close to 50 employees based in Auckland and Sydney, and are responsible for the software development and hosting of the RAMM Solution Suite, Thinkproject's asset and work management software that caters to the Operate stage of the asset lifecycle.

RAMM is a fully integrated, digital solution suite, connecting all stakeholders in a single source of truth. For over 30 years it has been the work management software to over 300 Local Governments throughout Australasia, along with their consultants and contractors, with specialisation in Transport, Utilities and Facilities Management.

RAMM is a geospatial, cloud-based, Software as a Service (SaaS) solution for any asset class and type, in any location, at any time. The suite has multiple modules that interact within an intuitive GIS-driven environment, RAMM Map. The solution supports data accuracy and validation of asset condition, fitness for purpose and operational efficiency. It manages in excess of 1.4 million asset records, 2 million defects per annum, $1.8 billion in annual maintenance costs, and over 4,000 concurrent users.

Launching in 2022 is the Schematic 3D Navigator providing Thinkproject clients with the ability to convert their existing 2D plans in Schematic Navigator into interactive 3D models or import 3D formats directly into RAMM. The company's data visualisation journey continues with Digital Twin functionality that is currently under development, and a core reason for the company's involvement in the 2021 Digital Twin Challenge - to further test and refine the capability of RAMM for supporting Digital Twin capability across the market.
